Our duvide barjumprope combines the hula hoop and jump rope: you strap it on and rotate the jump rope with vertical hip movements...

Jump ropes. I am absolutely horrid at the art of hula hooping but am a great jump roper. Plus you get more exercise out of it! :P

I believe that Hoola Hoops are making a comeback, I'm not sure about jumping rope, for me, neither........... lol..........
