I'm not a fan of labeling PEOPLE as "hipsters" or "preps", just the look itself.
Although I make an exception when I poke fun at the stereotypical hipsters. It's become a "thing" in my city. But they have not only taken on the style but tend to be pseudointellectual, pompous, judgmental, a-holes who think they are better than us lower, less ironic folk.
