Quite simply, during an absence time can fly. What I intended to be a brief time extended into a little more. I have missed my friends, but I feel I benefited from what seems to have been needed down time.
A mix of matters kept me away, exacerbated only slightly by hacking incidemts involving one of my personal email accounts, including some involvement in local political activity. It was a busy period which left me feeling both appreciative of the people and candidates I met, yet wary of how easily the ebb and flow of political dialogue can redefine what is required to be regarded a proper party member.
Thus, I have pointedly avoided re-entering the arena of vigorous political debate immediately following my return...with one exception which involved answering a question about whether I was happy with the current group of Republican candidates and whom I might have wished had run.
Right now I'm anxious to get together with old friends, have a little fun, and finish acquainting myself with the many changes in SH. I do feel good about being back and want to send a special shout out to my friends who kept the faith after my sudden departure, sent good thoughts my way - I've not doubt it helped - as well as those who have already so warmly welcomed me back.
