I was put in the holding cells once but that was a long time ago. My husband went to Jail for 6 months once but he's been good ever since lol i currently have a family member in jail right now. How about you?

    I spent a night in jail when I was younger, and my accountant spent 6 months in prison.

    I've never been sent to prison, but I've been temporarily jailed a few times.
    The first time was due to this false police report.
    Later, the corrupt and tyrannical police in my city would enjoy showing their power by arresting, detaining and holding me on bogus charges, which is the basis for this comment.
    So, my record is officially clean, as I've never been convicted of anything more than driving infractions, but I've still been made to suffer a bit.
    And harassment by the police is very difficult to prove without witnesses.

    I have known people who have done time, but not me! Thankfully, I have never done anything to get myself thrown in the slammer. It could have been me, but thank God, it was not.

    I am truly sorry! Sounds like you have had a rough time. My brother did 1 yr(county jail) for multiple DUIs, that was hard on me & rest of my family.

    My uncle was 1 1/2 year because of stealing, My father's Godfather was 2years because of drugs, My best friend's brother was 1,7 because of abusing his girlfriend , two classmates where 7 months because they found tobacco and alcohol in their lockers .

    About your two classmates, that's unbievable, what about unlawful search, etc. Where is the C. L. U. attnys. when you need them? Tobacco & alcohol! rediculous! What, No guns, or, cocaine? They must have been honor students! lol :)

    No, but In my school that was strongly prohibited. They usually check you on the school enter, but I don't know how did they make it to the locker. However they dd it, that wasn't long lasting since we had locker check on Fridays. It was impossible for a guys in middle school to have tobacco and alcohol in lockers.

    My younger brother was in jail briefly. My daddy was in jail briefly too. They are both deceased and there are no family members in jail now.

    Actually it's more difficult to know anyone who has gone to prison in most other Western countries because our incarceration rates are five to ten times lower than yours (seven times lower here in France).
    Of course, we don't have your private prison-industrial complex.

    I have a friend who went to prison for protesting at Faslane Naval Base for planted a CND (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) flag on the conning tower of a nuclear submarine. He got 60 days for damage to government property and for breach of the peace. Ironic :)

    I've never been to prison but I was once arrested for like 5 hours. It was for something stupid. I was basically protesting, non-violently, and still was arrested... But no, never prison. Although I once met someone who had been to prison, I didn't really know him at all.

    He went drinking with the guy, not knowing, and the guy got drunk and started talking about what he liked to do to 11 year old girls. (I was 11 at the time) and so he started beating the crap out of him and thought he'd killed him. He at least paralyzed him. Broke his spine with a baseball bat..
