    Yes ! Our phone # was MAine 5-2636 ! I have even worked on the searchers that counted the pulses and connected the lines. We still had them for our internal phone system at U.S. Steel. They were monstrous machines that whirred and clicked until the contacts situated themselves.

    I have a 1930's dial phone in the front room. It keeps the GK's from making calls, they can't figure out how it works.

    I still have one somewhere packed away. I have even used an old wooden wall crank phone. We had relatives that lived on a farm in Iowa and it was a party line.

    We have 3 of them. We installed them in the house, greenhouse and greenhouse office when the nursery was open. People got the biggest chuckle over them.

    Yes, I remember these in the switching stations when i worked landline & the humongous reels that recorded all the calls on tape that they used to store in big rooms.... Lol !
