If you're an animal lover, chances are you spoil your pet from time to time. And that may even mean throwing your pooch a birthday party when his big day rolls around. There's nothing wrong with it. At least, I don't think so.

Check out these adorable -- and at times, hilarious -- pictures of dogs celebrating their special day. Have you ever thrown a party for your pet? And if you haven't yet, would you be open to the idea?

    Sort of. I know his birthday so every year we go to the local lake with 2 of his dog friends and let them run and swim and whatever until they drop.

    I always celebrated my dog...he was the best dog ever...and he will be missed.

    I had a Chinese themed party for a neighbor's cat,... and I once had a luau for my aunt's potbelly pig.

    That is just flat Dumb. No matter what brain dead people do it is still a animal that eats poops and does little else. It is not human no matter how hard those that own them dress them up or do stupid people tricks with. With 45 million children in poverty I would find that disgusting.

    We had a show dog, Named Moonwind Black Shannon Star a beautiful Black Afghan Hound. He took 1st place in this dog show, it was a unbelievable win because it was held at a Airforce base and when the Judge approached him a jet was taking off and The dog went straight up in the air. I thought we were sunk, she told my wife to re-stack your dog. She did and the Judge liked what she saw and gave Shannon 1st place>

    Why would I throw a party for something that has a brain 1/3 the size of mine?

    I'd never throw a party for my children for example.

    I havnt thrown a party for it but I have nothing against that. If the pet enjoys it then whats the prob?? If you dress them up and put hats on them and put them in a chair in front of their cake, well... thats a little odd.

    I have not thrown a pet party, but went to a pug party. A friend breeds pugs, invited people and their pugs to the mama pug bday party. I have never seen so many pugs in my life and had an absolute blast. Pugs are not my favorite breed, but it was a very funny afternoon!

    When my dog had her 4th birthday in june, i bought her a nice meat snack and stuck 4 candles on it. Then we went to the beach and threw a ball around. Nothing too special.

    I'm a pet lover and spoil my dog from time to time, but a pet party for my dog is taking her to the dog park... not an overly expensive birthday party my dog won't care for... dog park

    OH YEA!! I send hand delivered invitations, I dress her in a diamond studded tiara and Chanel dress, hire several Chippendale's, hire a bartender for the open bar, hire the San Francisco symphony, and a limo to drive her to the St. Francis Hotel for the party.     totally! we sing happy birthday & for my cat, I get a can of wet food and after we sing I give it to her. I would put a party hat on her, but after the failed attempt at a sweater we stick to just the "cake"

    But if I did, I'd just give them gifts every now and then. And we'd have like puppy dates occasionally, like go to the park with some friends that also have dogs haha xD I wish I had a dog :(

    Yeah but it wasn't all that fancy or well planned out. We just had a few puppies Come over and play, plus we passed out some treats and such.
