Have you ever thought about committing suicide?

Yes for 6 years now. Tried to do it a couple of weeks ago but me step dad came home just as I was about to, so I couldn't.

In the past a couple of times I even tried to once, but ever since my boyfriend stopped me (he was just a friend then.) I haven't really thought about it much because I now have a really good reason to stay alive. lol

but I'd never go through with it.

I always thought it was a weak solution, my mother has been through hell and back so for me I believe I have no right to think that when she's suffered so much and continues to still fight. So no it never has crossed my mind, I wouldn't want to give life the satisfaction of taking me out.

I live with mental illness and have had a very stressful life. The thought of suicide comes up several times a month. Actually planning anything, even in a half-assed way, is fairly rare. I made a number of para-suicide attempts when I was younger.

I was thinking about it yesterday...not that I would do it. Im still holding on the dream of finding my Romeo someday....

That's cool, but most importantly, focus on the things you want for you and pursue those. I wish I'd learned when I was a lot younger that Prince Charming is not going to ride in and save me.

Oh trust me I know. All day, every day I look up College and careers. I study ALL the time. I don't talk to people usually at all. Im always reading and never smile. Im currently aiming for all A's and won't accept a "B." Im also looking for a job currently. I already have WAY over 100 dollars saved up for college. Im also going to take a culinary art program during my highschool years. I am also tying to get an academic scholarship and maybe one is Pole vaulting if I try hard enough. I have my 4 years of undergraduate college planned out and completely paid for with a scholarship I have. I'm going to double major in Biology or Chemistry and Buisness. I also want to minor in German. Then go on and get a doctorate in Pharmacy. So trust me the "Romeo" is a very tiny bit of myself. I don't even have to have a man, I just think it would be nice. Im too preoccupide at the moment for love.Now don't get me wrong, I DO have fun, but my perspective of "fun" is different than everybody else's. My fun is reseaching, reading, and star gazing. So... yep. Hope I clearing that up.

yep. But I'd never be able to do it. I did almost do it once. I literally had a handful of Pills ready to take every one and just wing it. But before I could I thought "this seems right at the moment, but I love my family too much.." and I put them all back. I was terrified. I still am when I think of ever doing such a thing.

Sometimes life is so hard. Glad you didn't go through with it.

Most recently, last night. Not that I'd actually do it.

i stil do ocasionally but not as much anymore and I've attempted it but I have dpression pills now so it's getting better

Suicide actually isn't a matter of being "selfish." It's a reaction to being so overwhelmed and hopeless that there seems to be no other way out.

I feel like this all the time and as hard as I try to block it out I just can't!! I don't know what to do anymore!! I feel selfish sometimes for wanting to just leave but on the other hand I can't cuz my kids come in play when I tart thinking crazy.... I numb myself with alocohol and try to forget what I'm thinking!!

I've always thought the idea of suicide was kind of ridiculous, since we're all going to die anyway.

Sometimes the inevitable seems to take too long.

Thank goodness I gave up on that idea years ago. Now I want to live, live, live!

I've even tried then a good friend said something to me that made me rethink a lot of things and I decided I wasn't a quitter.

Suicide isn't "trendy." It's a serious issue.
Talking about it may have been "trendy." These are two different things.

I think she means something along the lines where teen depression was popular among teens, the period when they decided to be dark and gloomy, like how being bisexual is popular now. I don't deny it, But quite honestly I have a hard time believing half of my class is.
