Yes I once was foolish enough to try to teach my army roommate how to drive a clutch. This man had no grasp of the concept, and got so frustrated that he quit on his own. It was a pretty quiet ride home lol.

With my kids it went great, with my mother inlaw not so good. The old saying comes to mind, you can't teach an old dog new tricks, not that I am compairing my mother inlaw to a dog, God forbid.

yep .. My Children ..
Nerve-Wracking for sure ..
best time to teach them is when you live rurally and the next day is trash pickup day ..
you have to put the plastic bins streetside ..
so there's finally a good way to find the edge of the street ..
and they can learn how to slowly drive .. carefully drive ..
and where the edge of the street is (how to view the car's body when it aligns with the edge of the street)

My ex and I taught my son how to drive, He just got his liscense a few weeks ago. He learned very well. I taught many of the kids I know how to drive a stick shift too. That went well, for the most part.
