I've been debating this person for 3 days and have come to the conclusion nothing more to be said. We can't even agree to disagree, so when I see a reply in my happenings I don't even bother to read it, I just delete.

Have you ever done this.

It's futile to me to keep going round and round once I've stated everything I have to say. So I stop. I also stop if someone is outright abusive. I have nothing to say to such peeps.

I will always read a reply, but I will not always reply to the reply.

I have a few who I just try not to bother with. I wont block a person unless they are very very rude and vulgar or if they are spamming or are clearly a sock puppet. But some I just let talk and I ignore.

AT SOME POINT A DEBATE BECOMES TOTALLY FRUITLESS... WHY BOTHER TO GO ANY FURTHER... WHY BOTHER TO EVEN READ REPLIES, YOU JUST RISK GETTING SUCKED INTO THE PERSON'S SICK WAY OF GETTING ATTENTION.

I do that a lot actually, or I will read it and just ignore it. I have found there are TONS of people on here that know they are right and wont even hear the other side. I dont care if people disagree with me thats actually great, but at least agree to disagree.

Oh yeah. There are a couple of goofs here whom I don't read at all. I put my hand over the screen and move it down -- if one of their names comes up, I move on. I won't waste my time on them.

Some people ramble on and on. Apparently, they think the more they write the more they justify their point. I usually read two paragraphs and skip the rest. However, if they create one big paragraph then I may read 8 lines or so.

Rarely, do I hit the more buttons. Generally, if you been in the argument for a while, they are just repeating what they already said.

yeah, I'm on my third day with a hater of Israel, a proponent of same-sex-marriage and circumcision.

I've been volleying replies but I think I'm done. There's nothing more to say and in the end I just like to say............you won.....I'm done.

The instant a debate starts to go cyclic I'll read it, but will not bother replying.

If it becomes insulting, that's when I realise that they are stuck - unable to rebut and too pigheaded to back down - no point pushing it, so I either give them a way to get out gracefully or leave it - depending on how offensive they are being.
