When I was a young adult, I tried it. I don't think it's for me because of the way my brain is wired. I'm on the autistic range and a visual thinker to a much greater degree than normal. Apparently, for me, weed could touch off visualizations that were so strong that they were probably the closest thing to visual hallucinations without them being hallucinations. No one else who shared the same joints with me seemed to have this reaction, as far as I know.

That and it gave me the munchies, which isn't very weight friendly.

Also, I don't like feeling very different. I'm more than a bit of a control freak that way and don't make a very good sick person for the same reason.

But I got many "whiffs" during the "morning smoke-breaks" at my local public high-school 1978-79 (yes , we had an official SMOKE break for tobacco users!). In Oct. 1979, the principal ended it. WHY ?? "Other" substances being smoked !!!

We were never allowed to smoke on school property. This was in the 50's and early 60's. Have no idea what goes on now.

Amazing what changes occur !! The 70's were very an "anything-goes" society.
