Yep. As a kid....and got caught by my mom in the car with the candy.

We went back in the store, my mom explained to the manager, and I had to apologize. My dad whipped my ass when we got home and found out.

Never did that again.

shop lifted a candy bar at age 7. Store owner called Dad. Mom was the city clerk and justice of the peace. I went to jail for the afternoon. Never have taken anything that wasn't mine since.

My son is head of security at a department store. I don't think he would let me off the hook if he caught me. He has caught many shoplifters- some career criminals with many outstanding felonies.

When I was a kid, I stole a piece of 2 cent gum... My mom knew I didn't have the money to have bought it. She made me take it back to the corner market and apologize to the owner... Never did it again

When I was a kid, I stole a lipstick from the drugstore. My mama made me take it back, and I had to sweep out the shop as punishment. I remember that like it was yesterday, and I've never shoplifted again!

as a kid, walked in to a "Dime Store we had those back then. Stole some candy, walked out and a big pl' girl followed me out. Demanded for me to return the candy, so I did. haven't done it since
