Yes, I have. I've even tried leaving, but it's not possible. Even with all the BS that goes on here, I always miss all the cool people that make coming here worthwhile.
I thought about it seriously for a brief time period. I'm not here as much as I used to be. today was certainly one of those days I seriously wondered what I'm doing here as I was being told I had no intelligence! I realized the person just couldn't come up with any other response, but Jeez....
Nah; when I get burned out on a site, I just find another one to entertain me for a while.
Thus far I'm still amused, so here I am.
That being said, lots of quality people have 'jumped ship' due to the constant toxic atmosphere generated by the Ex-Cons (extremist conservatives) and the Ex-Libs (extremist liberals) as well as all the perpetual site malfunctions, spam and malware.
Its a cool site, but its management and administration leaves much to be desired...
Hope you don't leave... I have taken a few breaks before and that helps. SH used to be so much more fun than it is right now....I won't rave you anymore...lol :)
I used to always go on the Political polls... I still do somewhat but I don't go on as much as I used to. I am here to have fun! So...I try to make things fun and go with the flow.....and you're right...must sweeter people. I got tired of being called a moron on the political polls...lo! ;)
The problem is that many people cant leave the political drama on the political polls; they dredge it up every chance they get, in every forum; no matter what the topic...
My responses would always be reminding them that they had their opinion and I had mine. But, that was never enough...they wanted to argue and I just stated my opinion and my facts. Don't worry about being politely antagonizing....at least you were polite....Some people got downright nasty....It was a no win situation so I would just back off. Don't beat yourself up! It's great you can admit it! That speaks volumes about you! ;)
Well, it's awesome that you never swear, insult or name call! I think you just solved your own problem....just by recognizing what you felt you were doing wrong. LOL Good for you! :)
Wow...2 yrs.....that's a long time. I left for 7 months but I had no choice....I was caring for my sick grand-daughter. I can't leave my friends here....even though I feel SH is getting rather boring at times.
Yep. Especially after having one of those long arguments or debates with someone obstinately rude or ignorant. After deciding to not hang around the political and religious posts so much, it's a better time.
Oh yes....a couple of times. I have taken a long break as well, came back just resently. Helps at times. And sense iv been back...i dont answer ALL questions. Just depends on my day really.
