My '87 Pacer was called Ronnie after my favorite baseball star Ron Cey.
My '96 Shilouette was Goldie as she was gold in color.
Our 2006 Avalanche is called Gatormobile because we have it tricked out in orange and blue with Gator stickers.

My 1985 Plymouth Reliant was named Gertrude
My 1990 Pontiac Transport was named Sammy Haggar (it's nickname was the Red Rocket, he was the Red Rocker.)
My 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was named Stella
My 1999 Saturn SL2 was named Homer
And my 2005 Dodge Stratus was supposed to have a woman's name but it bucked the trend. It was initially named Will Ferrell (I drive a Dodge Stratus!) but I instead named it The Juggernaut ("Don't you see me in my motherf___in' spaceship? This is a Dodge!")

Holly Golightly! In "Breakfast at Tiffany's" she refused to name the cat that was hanging around her apartment. She called the cat "No-Name." However, that was a very unusual case and it was fiction. You are right!

In 1978, we bought a 1960 VW beetle from a Mexican guy. The car was orange with a white trunk cover an green engine compartment cover and black fenders. It had wide stripe whitewall tires a loud muffler and red pompoms around all the windows. We named it "The Mexican Turkey" and we drove it just like that. It was a fun little car.

Currently, I own a 2002 Saturn Vue in Burnt Orange. I call her my "Autumnmobile" and even have a photo of the car under a tree at Chimney Rock, NC in the fall and the tree's foliage and my care are exactly the same beautiful autumn orange.... Years ago had a little ol' funky Toyota Corolla and there was I got a hold of a sticker that had said Recreation Station and my car became the "Creation Station" cause I put the stickers on her door ;-} silly me *grins*

I named my car 2 faced Melvin, I lost two hubcaps on one side of the car. the other had both hubcaps so he went from just Melvin to two faced Melvin.
