almost need some way of tracking it down almost like using the lock button on a car remote to remember where you parked. though knowing my luck id end up losing that too. . .

I am somewhat obsessive to the point that I always put things back in the same place so I don't misplace them. However, the remote has ended up in weird places due to friends or family visiting.

That's an ongoing thing. With 4 TVs and the remotes for the DVD players, too, it's hard to keep track of things.

No never, it has it's place. Even when children come to visit they know the rules, if they don't abide, then they not allowed to use it. By the way I more than one remote ☺, 6 to be exact that's in use, 3 in the lounge and 3 in my bed room.
