Have You Ever Locked Your Keys in a Car?

at first I thought it said have you ever locked your eyes in you car lol.. but no i haven't locked my keys in my car because i don't have a car.

Twice...
Once my Senior year in High School. I was in a hurry for a school field trip, and left the keys on my seat. So after school, my friend and I had to use a wire coat hanger to open my door.
I did it again, about 2 years ago, at my grandparents. I didn't notice my keys slipped out of my pocket onto the floor. It was fun explaining to people who drove by that it was my car I was breaking into lol.

I am proud to say I haven't been like Peter Griffin yet, and locked myself in my car :)

Funny you should ask. I've been driving for 40 years and never locked my keys in the car until about two weeks ago.

I had taken my dog to the groomer and when I went to pick him up, I put him in the back seat. Then I put my had in my pocket for my keys.......no keys.

I ran back into the groomer but didn't leave them there. Looked all around the car, nothing.

Looked in the back window and there they were, just under my dog's tail.

All the windows were shut and it was well over 90 degrees that day. Two young men from the groomer's office tried to get the window open a little but couldn't. They had a radar thermometer with them and the Temperature in the car was 105 degrees. The dog was starting to pant so I couldn't wait for AAA. So, I told them to break the window. I just couldn't leave my dog in there with that heat.

We got him out, took him into the air conditioned office and he lapped up a big bowl of cool water and lots of loving from everyone.

I felt like an idiot but at least my dog was okay. Then I had to tell my husband. He was not okay but he got over it.

Just my house keys in the house.

At one time I had a car that I seemed not to be able to keep from locking the keys in it... :)

I have a car wear its pretty hard to lock your car keys in the car.

I havent, but my brother did it when we and my dad were getting ready to go on a road trip.

Only once in my life and that was just a year ago. Now I can't do that anymore because the car will not lock if the keys are inside. Don't you just love it?

I got a spare key taped to the back of my rear license plate for when it happens, and it does happen, often

Right after dropping a melted lipstick tube all over my clothes. I locked my cell phone in the car too. That was not a fun day.

not for years ..modern day cars are made so that you cannot lock the car without the keys
