Definitely, but I only found about them later in life--after the die had been cast, so to speak. I also had some secret crushes when I was young. I also had a couple who weren't the least bit secret and rather scared me a bit at times.

I wasn't too happy about it because other people knew and thought they had to meddle. I had the sort of classmates who liked playing cupid and didn't care they did more harm than good. So annoying.

And then her cover got blown by the teacher intercepting her note to me. The teacher publicly embarrassed both the girl and I in front of the whole class. I still hold a grudge and its been 35 years. That was just down right mean.
