Have you ever had a really bad sunburn?

Several times living near the Gulf Coast,especially Corpus Christi.

i have very pale skin and i am very sensitive to the sun i went to america on holiday last year and went to Venice beach in L.A and my legs got severely burnt and went purple because they was that bad took weeks to recover and alot of aloe vera and sudocrem was used bad times lol

i pounded someonewith a footyball.then the brned me with buying me an ice cream

Currently suffering from one now. Sunburn is rare for me though since I tan easily.. This is my first sunburn since I was 7.

I was 15 drinking on the va beach with a friend. We passed out. It was a deceiving overcast day. I awoke looking at a pair of boots. Looking up I see its a policeman. We were handcuffed on the beach. Embarrassing. Then taken to jail. My dad was overcome with joy having to drive 3 hours to pick us up. My front was tomato red, back pale. A memorable time ;)

I got my very first sunburn this summer! 2nd degree burn, too. Aaaaaaaall over the right side of my face.

I fell asleep by a pool once and Burned the back of my body so bad i couldn't sit or allow my legs to bend together or the skin would stick.

i have had a second degree burn that scarred on my chest. i had sunblock on, i was only out in the sun for about 2 hours and i almost got sun poisoining

I've had 2nd degree sunburn.

Yup....Fell asleep on a tubing trip....(actually sleep is another word for passed out)...although I started the trip attached to a floatilla of fellow tubers, they thought it would be funny to cut me loose and let me float down all by my lonesome. It was over 90 degrees out, I had no sunblock on, and the normal 2 and a half hours it usually took to get down the river took me 4 hours. I woke up at the end of my tubing adventure at the rapids, going backwards, and headed towards a sunken tree branch that I managed to catch with the pocket of my swim trunks. Thankfully my pocket ripped and I was freed. However, the pocket was attached to the rest of my trunks, and I was left standing in the water with the mesh part of my trunks, and my waistband. I had the tube to shelter my twigs and berries from the young children and old women. However the water was cold, and that day they wouldn't have anything to worry about. Any other day though I might have scared them.

My sunburn was so bad that I had to go the emergency room. (after sobering up). I had 3rd degree burns over 1/2 of my body, and I could barely move for almost a week....I still have my "battle scars" from that day. It was by far the worst I have ever been sunburned ever. OUCH!!!

No I haven't, but it might have something to do with my naturally dark complexion

Normally I don't sunburn that bad but once I fell asleep for 3 hours on my back and was so toasted that I felt hot all night long. Later on, I completely blistered up.

Never been sunburn. I just tan. My oldest sister used to hate that.

Once, I got one so bad it blistered in a few places. I don't usually burn badly, though.

Oh my goodness that have to of hurt

LOL! It did, but it was back when the dangers of the sun were not well publicized, and sunscreen was usually zinc oxide worn on the noses of life guards. Took cool showers for a few days and fortunately, had no long lasting effects from it. :)

One time almost died; because I thought that I was a tough guy and did not listen to my best friend... Stupid is what it is as you can die from over-exposure! I would not do as i did and we were having fun catching octopus for his sons wedding...

I always make sure I put sun block on. I rarely ever get a little bit of it. I'm very careful with my skin.

Use "Burmese Python" sunblock ..............it stays in place ,and blocks ALL the sun! : )

Lol. I never really thought about that. Could snakes get sunburn? I'd assume they could since they aren't allowed heat rocks in their cages.
