miscellaneous stuff like headbands, and some furniture. I regret it only a little, because I hate clutter.

I had some headbands specially made, and when I lost contact with the woman who used to make them for me - I regretted it a little, but I always donate my stuff to women's shelters, so it all goes to a good cause.

That's a great idea. Maybe you could learn how to make the headbands yourself. There might even be tutorials online.

I have looked at YouTube tutorials, but being the procrastinator that I am - never got around to making anything. I just buy them. I know it sounds crazy, but I love headbands and collecting all types(including hair clips).

It doesn't sound crazy to me. No more so than collecting jewelry or shoes or purses. I don't have the right head shape for headbands. They just slip right off if they are the kind that go all the way round and the ones that are just partially around are usually uncomfortably tight.
You could decorate your own hair clips fairly easily though and it would probably cost much less. There are beads and ornaments galore for sale these days and you can paint the metal clips bright colours too.

I don't wear the ones that go all the around my head for the same reasons too(slippage). I am going to quit being lazy and make my own. I can make a fun hobby out of it.

Etsy is a site where people sell handmade things or vintage things. It isn't an auction like Ebay. It is more like an on-line shopping mall. Some people sell their art, some sell jewelry, some have vintage collectibles and antiques and sell them there.

I think sometimes the hurt is so deep you can not face physical reminders. Purging feels right at the time . . . Then later the realty that some things you let go, perhaps you may have been hasty because you wanted the hurt to stop.

Presently doing a move home to home as I travel around frequently on work and have given the tenants of my place the rest of the stuff I have to use and stored the rest in my garage.

I had to do that to help me stop the foreclosure and balance the expense, they are good ones, had to scrutinise them with a magnifying glass and references before bringing them into the place. Helps me balance the payments now as I am a single mother now, husband walked out on me leaving a huge debt with a promise of finances which are still to come 16 months later. I work and pay the other half off now.

Still working on it but am getting there... Its a success story of a life time I can tell you that much.... Tests your endurance and if I didnot have faith in the Above, I probably would be dead by now...
