I've seen too many incidences of them releasing and dumping people in the drink to trust bungies. I think that was a connector that rebounded, she was headed for the water.

At the number of years under my belt ..
that answer would be a NO for sure ..
bungee cords are to hold things in place in trailers (and cargo bays)
NOT to suspend me while falling ..
