Have you ever fallen in love with a person whom you encountered on the web?

Well...not fallen in love persay...But I had a crush on this guy I met on MyYearbook. He was so funny and dramatic and understanding, that I couldn't help but let out a grin when I saw that he had messaged me. It always made my day.

I met my Ryszard in Evony. We became great allies and friends. Started Skyping and found we had a lot in common. It just blossomed from there, and even with miles between, for the first time in my life I felt I was loved in return. He was my angle as I was his. We started planning trips to meet, etc. He was too sick to fly. 5 months after meeting the man who taught me that love still existed, he passed. We never got the chance to meet. Although he checks in on me from time to time, I miss him in the physical world greatly.

Can I ask why she's a friend on FB? It would be nice to know a man's view point of this FB friend thing. I had a moment I thought about this and went over everything in my head, then i deleted my ex hubby, his new wife, and 3 ex bf's. They had added me, and I no longer saw them valid. It wasn't done out of spite either. I guess the healing process was over.

Sheer laziness, I didn't feel like going to the trouble of deleting her. She wasn't worth the effort.

I don't believe love is something you fall into (or out of.) You can fall into (and out of) lust and/or infatuation, but not love. Love is not a mere feeling. It is an act of the will. You choose to love someone. If you are "that kind of person" you can choose to stop loving someone.

Many people do not have any clue what true love is. They confuse it with lust/infatuation, not just the terminology, the basic concept of the feelings/actions involved in a relationship. That is why so many marriages end in shambles. People get all these mushy feelings for each other, think they're in 'love,' and get married. They never really learn how to love each other. When the mushy feelings subside, or they face difficulties, or they get distracted by the same mushy feelings for someone else, it all breaks apart and they split.

There is a place for lust/infatuation, but they should not be mistaken for love.
