Yeah, Hollywood. First when I was 4th grade? It and Knott's Berry Farm made Disneyland a bit of a disappointment.

Later in the first years of my being an electrician I worked on the stage lighting for the Beetlejuice show, Lighting and conduit for the robotics for the Back to the Future ride, a bit of lighting on both the King Kong ride and the trained animal show. Some stuff in offices and gift shops. BttF was replaced by The Simpsons, and it looks like Beetlejuice is gone. King Kong looks like they completely re did it. Animal Actors appears to have been redone yet again.

I went this time last year, and we were disappointed to see that the Back to the Future ride was gone, but we rode the Simpson's one twice. We had a front of the line pass, if we didn't have that, I'd have to say I would have given up and probably wouldn't have ridden any rides.
The simpson's one was pretty cool, but I lost my Front of the Line pass in the Simpson's car and they wouldn't let me back in to get it.
The King Kong is a 3D tour now, and honestly was pretty lame.

When I went as a kid, it was still a working studio and you went on a tour. I think there was some carnival type rides but that was it. it focused on the process of doing films and television. We got to go in the set for the Munsters, McHale's Navy, and a couple others. I found it fascinating at the time.

They offered a tour of the working studio as well, but you werent allowed off the tour bus. You just sat and saw a few things they used in movies like big props like Jurassic Park cars and such and different sets like the motel from Psycho, the village from How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and the plane crash wreckage from the new War of the Worlds. Pretty exciting.

Both Orlando & Los Angeles. 1985-1990. Probably updated since. I went to Orlando when Nick at Nite was there & got some slime.

I want to go back but prices have tripled. I would stay at a motel that connected & get the all day pass.

I do look at that way too. It is much, but to come & go to the park. A one time splurge. I have family in Orlando, but I like parks. I worked at one for 4 years.

Really? That's cool! What'd you do?
Also, yeah as a one time splurge maybe. It's still a lot though. I may like theme parks but other things must come first.
