Many times, I love it. My grandpa used to be Chief of Police in Indio ... and he used to say he could have bought Palm Springs for a dollar an acre when it was just desert. I sure wish he had !!!!
yes, a very beautiful city,
took hang glide lesson's in the desert near Palm Springs, and would go into town to drink beer and raise hell with all the rich middle age women.. gave them the ride of their life...:)
Ah gee you must be one of those targeted species in CA called a truck driver. Aren't you happy to get all that attention CHP pays to you like setting up random checkpoints at a wide spot in the road and then putting a liittle bitty sign out just before you get to it telling you it's there.!
Yes, but I was thinking of Palm Springs proper. The nasty windmills are kind of out on the outskirts by the freeway. But you're right, they are an eyesore, especially since so few are usually working at any given time, thus demonstrating what a huge waste of money and space windmill farms are.
don't worry, we have our share in West Texas too. If they would ever use all of them at once, we could light up both North and south Amrica, and wouldn't need to build anymore
Can't even afford to drive through it, I do live in Massachusetts.
Visited Southern California years ago and it wasn't on our list of things to do then and if I went back, wouldn't waste my time. Too many other things I'd like to do there.
I'm a hiker (walking is okay, too), like the outdoors regardless of the weather. As long as it's not too hot and humid out. I have difficulty breathing in high humidity, like when the dewpoint is over 65. I'm gasping just thinking about it because it's only May.
Great, weather is on in the background and he said the humidity will be going up today. Happy Mother's Day to me, ha ha.
Melrose and North Reading are nice, but nothing beats the Cape. I also have relatives in South Yarmouth and Yarmouthport. I like Cape Cod in the offseason, less people and everything is cheaper. If you visit, I strongly recommend September, the ocean water is still warm (better than July) and less crowded. I'm getting sick of the congestion in eastern Massachusetts. It's getting bad and I'm getting mad.
We have several on the Cape including the Hyannis Airport which is relatively large (the Kennedy's flew into Hyannis) and smaller ones. I can only think of Barnstable right now (only one cup of coffee this morning). Interesting though. It really is a small world. I love making connections like that. Have a good one.
Have only been to San Francisco about 5 years ago. It was one of my favorite trips ever. Would love to go back and spend more time, and maybe see Palm Springs once.

a pure eyesore
