But I know someone that was.

My 6 year old daughter is a master pickpocket. I can't tell you how many times I go to call someone and my phone is not in my pocket. In this case, little hands are a huge advantage.

Knots Berry Farm in the LA area, 1985 Lost my wallet and $500 in American Express Checks.

Funny, The idiot had the gall to try and use them right there in the park. I had reported the stolen wallet and their security went around to all the tellers to warn them to get photo ID on everyone cashing AMX Travelers Checks. Not 10 minutes later they had the three people in handcuffs and were loaded into a local police dept paddy wagon.

I got my wallet back and $300 of the checks back but they were already worthless as I had stopped them all as my wife had the ledger.

I got to say too the Knots Berry Farm really took care of us as well. EVERYTHING was free after that and they refunded us our entrance fee, fed us and pretty much opened the check book and did what ever it was that we wanted all at no cost to us.

That night a courier knocked on our hotel door and handed my $500 in NEW AMX Travelers Checks. The next day we went to Disneyland.

It sucked.
