I took several road trips. Back in my 20's and 30's. I used to go with friends following bands while they were on tour....especially Rush. The best road trip I took was a few years my wife and I got married. When rented a huge RV, and just driove across the country following two bands on tour, Rush and Dave Matthews. It would end off with us spending two weeks in Los Angeles. Both bands were playing in LA during our stay there. So we drove from Long Island, NY to Los Angeles, CA with stops in Boston, Philly, Cleveland, Chicago, Lincoln, Nebraska, Omaha, Dallas, Albuqueque, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Reno, San Fransisco and Sacramento. We were in our 20's then. We had the time of our lives. If we tried that today in our 40's, we'd be in traction for a month.

We went down to Texas visited San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. We stayed at hotels overnight, but I think the total travel time for the round trip was around twelve hours.

Yeah. My family and I took a few last summer and when I was around 9. When I was 9 we drove from NY to Florida and last summer we went to upstate NY, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, then Rhode Island. It was soo much fun.

With family of course. :) Washington, D.C., Indiana, Tennessee, up the road...many places.

When I was a kid. No air conditioning, not enough snacks, and my brother kept putting his foot on MY SIDE of the car! Moooooom!

It's okay. Honestly, it depends on what one considers a road trip. From one end of Virginia to the other paying visits to the family on opposite sides is several hours, but I am not sure it counts. Considering I made that one with my sister and our awesome music tastes, though, that was fun. The one from Virginia to Florida where my mom drove and the music was barely audible--that had the length of a proper road trip, I think, but not the feel at all.

I'm not sure that it would be considered a road trip but since my family was so big (6) when ever we went on vacations or anywhere out of state we'd have to drive. From Georgia to Florida, Connecticut, Illinois, Texas, Tennessee, North and South Carolina! What long rides!

But now I want to take a road trip from Georgia to California, but not with my family but with friends. That would be more fun then the torture with long hours with family!

Many, many times, I've driven all over the country. Longest I've driven non-stop was from NE Ohio to West Palm Beach, FL, did that in 17 hours.

Many. We use to take road trips at least once a month as a kid and go on some adventure. I've been all over the country and many places in the world on road trips. I've gone on road trips all over Europe, Scandinavia, England, Wales, Ireland, Parts of Africa, all over Canada.

...more times than I can count..I have an abject hatred of flying...I used to drive nearly coast to coast in an old air-cooled Volkswagen Beetle, and learned to cook many, many different things in the engine compartment (air-cooled engines run at higher temperatures than water-cooled engines; doesn't work anywhere near as well with water-cooled..)

Why yes, I have. From Oklahoma to Hawaii, then back to San Fransisco, on to Santa Fe.
