I believe that actions speak louder than words, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like to communicate it just means that I think that you show someone how you feel about them by how you act toward them.
-talk is cheep-
And because of this I can't stand repetitive use of the phrase “I‘m sorry” if someone is truly sorry then they don’t make the same mistakes over and over again.
However, having said that, I am a firm believer that communication is crucial in any kind of relationship, (friendship or anything more.)

I normally don't apologize when I don't mean it; however, sometimes, even if I feel that I was right about something, I might apologize anyway for hurting a person's feelings -- because, whether I'm right or wrong, I generally am sorry if the person's feelings are hurt by what I said.

It annoys me, I usually apologize by just being passive. I can't be bothered to deal with the drama but it eats me up inside for awhile.

Apologies are for those that have done or said something that may be wrong to make themselves feel good about themselves. Whatever was said or done is finished. It's not like an apology makes everything go away.
