I'm a big black guy...EVERYBODY thinks I'm stupid ! or an imbecile, which I think is one who is incapable of being taught. What criteria are they basing this on ? Not knowing things does not make you stupid, if you drop me off in the middle of a city I've never been in, and I can't find an address, that doesn't mean I'm stupid. If you draw me a detailed map, and walk the route with me 3 times, and THEN i get lost, then, we can discuss stupidity. Some people just have bad memories, they forget stuff.

I just read, in a quarterly medical journal that all children are born with ADD/ADHD, of which the mass majority outgrow in time. When I was in school, there was like 1 kid on ritalin or adderall out of the entire school. Now, there is like 1 kid who aint.

I know right ! hell, what kid doesn't run around like crazy ? it's called being a damned KID ! Hello ?!? I'm so happy I grew up back before all these pills and diagnosis kicked in ! I dread to think of what they would have labeled me as ? LOL ! I woulda' been in a straight jacket, running down the halls, like the guy in that Quiet Riot video !

that is exactly how I rsponded when I saw it... not sure where my kid found it, he is 16, however, he is the splittin' image of me, and he has a program that he can make demotivational posters on.

These kind of things from schools tick me off - they never for one minute ever consider that they are the problem. They adore labels and put kids in little boxes that follow them through school - they have neither the skill or the tools to make such an assessment

I admire your restraint - some snip who said that to me would not fair well, I expect I would ask the person to repeat it and keep asking them to do so as I stared at them with malice in my eyes. At some point they would ask why I was asking them to repeat it and I would reply; " I wanted to see how many times you were prepared to be so arrogant, insulting and rude. Your position does not entitle you to talk to me in that manner now or ever and I am one of the people who pays your salary. Something that seems to have escaped you. And I have done it - I support good teachers but I will not tolerate things like this.

I have had my share of problems there, especially with that school nurse and trust me... we have unfinished business, and I am just biding my time on her. She has one coming.
