For a country that wasn't suppose to exsist after the war of 1812. We showed the yanks
and the rest of the world we can kick ass with the best of them. Oh right we are the best.

I'm sure there will be people enjoying it all across the country. Canada Day is Sunday but many people get a holiday Monday too.

That's the way we perceive all Americans. When they come to Canada-not so good. When we go to the US they are lovely to us.

Well, I'm a seasoned traveller. I believe in respecting the rules in the country I'm in. I have never (and will never) do that "I'm an American and I have my rights" thing that I've seen so many others do. In Europe when I hear that, I am so tempted to tap the person on the shoulder and remind them they left their rights at the Statue of Liberty when they flew over. When in Rome, after all. I feel it's important to remember I am a guest in whatever country I visit. And polite guests don't look under the bed or in the medicine cabinet. lol

LOL- I think the "I'm American..." speech would be met with a blank stare and then a laugh. I have never run into any obnoxious American tourists and since Canadians always complain that Americans don't know anything about us or are misinformed, we should be glad to have American visitors who can then return the US and debunk the myth that we all live in igloos, speak french and get to work by dogsled.
