I like both, but prefer grits. When I eat oatmeal, I have to use a lot of sugar.

Yes, and as a grownup, I'm not supposed to put sugar on Cheerios so that I can have syrup at the bottom of the bowl when I'm finished. lol

Oatmeal Stout or Classic American Pilsner. I use grits when I brew the latter and oats when I brew the former. ;)

I've had oatmeal many more times, but I would probably choose grits. I would put butter and sugar in them like most people.

I can't do sugar in grits. Butter, salt, bacon, eggs, sausage, cheese. All great things in a bowl of grits. Thanks for your reply.

Same here. I had oatmeal for the first time as a teenager. Spit it out immediately. I have since grown to like oatmeal as well, but nowhere near as much as grits.
