"When you're losing, start correcting their grammar."
I find them very rude and annoying, especially when I make a point - they don't answer it but they attack my grammar. I'm still a student and English is not my first language, I'd rather let my teacher correct me rather than some idiot on the internet. We all make mistakes, besides they think that correcting my grammar makes them superior, oh no.

It depends.
If it is a simple mistake, like:
Fred lkies cheese.
And then they go, *Likes. Thats annoying!!
If its like:
Ehmergerd i am sooo prehtyy!!!
Then yes, they have the right to correct them.

If you are an educator and in a classroom, great. If it's an employee in your place of business, ok. On a public site like SodaHead, I think it is unbelievably rude and judgmental and demeaning to other people. The person that does that is taking a superior attitude over other people.

IMHO. Unless they are YOUR CHILDREN you have no right to correct an adult. How would you like for someone to tell you or your children what to do? I'm guessing it would make you mad.

Actually as a student teacher I have all the right to correct people's grammar and spelling. I wouldn't mind at all if someone else corrected my written or spoken language errors.
