Gmail is out to get my money. Has this ever happened to you?...

Yes, and it's a scam. Have you actually tried to accass your Gmail account? I get corrispondance from Yahoo saying they will shut down my account if i do not update my account and I'm still going. Check the e-mail address from the sender to see if it really does come from Gmail. They have their own site and should not be linked trough another party or user. And, anything addressed to undisclosed-recipiant is a scam.

well if you paypal them, it will prove that you are the owner since paypal makes you jump thru hoops to get an account

My guess is that wasn't from Gmail at all. I did have a problem the other day with "suspicious activity" but changed my p.w. & all was good.

Are you absolutely sure that you're dealing with them....sometimes people create fake copys of these things to gather your information. Gmail have never asked me for any money....

sounds like a scam.. never happened to me in gmail.. but i have seen similar in other emails.. change your password again now because all the info u gave ,, the redo your preferences

Gmail doent ask for money; maybe a hacker got you.

I no longer trust Google. They are tracking everything you do online now and will give it to the government without any resistance.

They wouldn't let me get back into my account, and that goes for YouTube too.. I hate Google, they think the world is theirs! :X

Google's forum shows that they ask for a .30 cent fee to 3.00 fee for people who can't access their accounts nor prove through the forms that they are the rightful owner to have additional help; additional help being help that isn't certain in restoring your account. This fee is supposedly to show that you aren't a hacker.

In any event, could be a scam nor not, depends on if the actual email was from Google or not.
