I don't need a man to "protect" me. Standing by my side when I need him is one thing...but stand in front of me to "protect" me and he gets shoved out of the way HARD!

I don't feel any woman NEEDS a man to protect them and will never understand the wanting of it.

Don't get me wrong, I can take care of myself just fine. But yes, in a situation where I was being physically threatened by someone much bigger than myself I would want my man to protect me. There's nothing sexist about that...it's just physics. I also would expect him to stand up for me in a verbal fight, as I would do the same for him.

Ideally, everyone in the world should protect each other, but in a romantic relationship, the people should definitely protect each other, and that involves him protecting me, if for some reason, I can't take care of myself at the moment.
