The chest is my favourite part of a guy (and arms and back lol) so if he's lacking there, yeah, I'd be a bit turned off but it wouldn't be a dealbreaker.

Not because he had moobs, but because I am a lesbian and don't sleep with men.

Quit with the heteronormative-ness, not all girls like men.

No. Women are more than boobs and it's sexist that you'd even imply that.

    do you hate men?
  • MissJo das 2012/07/24 21:25:04

Being a lesbian doesn't mean I hate men, it means I'm not sexually attracted to them.
  • das MissJo 2012/07/24 21:27:49

i thought so, but you can still hate them.

    Certain men, yes.
Lesbians hating all men is an misconception, probably stemming from men who are pissed that there are women who don't need them to feel fulfilled.

maybe, but it is a somewhat narcissistic apporach.
  • MissJo das 2012/07/25 00:21:11
    MissJo
Except it's not narcissistic at all. Narcissism implies obsessively being in love with yourself and that has absolutely nothing to do with homosexuality. And again, that comment can be considered sexist because essentially you're now saying all women are the same, which is very far from the truth.

I haven't said that homosexuality is narcissistic nor that all women are the same. I mean, if one says the concept "lesbians hate men" stems from men being annoyed about women who don't need them, implies that men made this concept because they wanted those women but feel rejected. Therefore she assumes her appeal is the reason for his "misconception", which is somewhat narcissistic.
Do you feel sympathy for the men?
  • MissJo das 2012/07/25 02:41:54
    MissJo
You are aware that men have treated women as sexual objects for centuries? That we're (women) treated as though we don't have our own sexual desires? That essentially we're conditioned to accept sexual abuse given to us by men. When men flirt with me I tell them I'm a lesbian, can you guess what the response to me is?

    1. Want to have a three some with me and your girlfriend?
    2. Oh, I can turn you straight.
    3. You haven't been with the right man yet.

In fact, I don't think I ever had a single man get that what I mean is: "No, I have no sexual attraction to men whatsoever and you're just wasting your time."

Look at advertisement and tell me that women aren't used as sexual objects:
    sexist advertisement
    sexist advertisement
    sexist advertisement
    sexist advertisement

Oh, and it doesn't stop there either...

The ads that objectify women? No, they disgust me.

Things are getting better, but the battle hasn't been won quite yet. Men are still respected more than women, more so if you're white, even more so if you're cisgendered and heterosexual. Women aren't going to quit being mothers, there are always going to be women out there who really do want a family of their own and the feminist movement isn't going to stop that. What it is going to stop is the male-dominated society that overly sexualizes, victimizes, and dehumanizes women, even today.

A lot of women don't get children anymore. Especially the women, who have the "freedom" and could educate their children accordingly. However if only the ones with the conservative attitude get the children that will at least slow down, if not abort the change.
  • MissJo das 2012/07/26 19:49:08
    MissJo
That depends on the woman. Some don't want children, some do. Some women would rather wait until they've lived their life and can raise their kid in a stable relationship with stable finances, there is nothing wrong with that.

The human population is vastly overpopulated today anyway, there will come a point where the Earth can't sustain us if we keep growing and that will end in many deaths...

That is the population density of egypt:

There are more than 80 million people living at one river. Those people maybe can say something about overpopulation. Or take Bangladesh, half the US population in a country smaller than Washington, state. But in north america? Come on.

It's a form of decadence to say the world is overpopulated, when you are actually to lazy to raise a child. There are a couple of countries where the fertility rates are below sustainable levels since decades.
The decrease in population might come very rapidly in certain areas and cause many imbalances.
You are right it depends on women, if children are born. A man can't get a child just by himself. That's the problem.
And there is something wrong with waiting. For a lot of those women the menopause comes before The man and the money. Luckily improvements in prenatal diagnostics at least prevent the birth of too many diseased children that they would usually get at this age.
There is no choice, if to have children or not, but there is a social responsibility every woman has to provide a sustainable demography at least in her region.

Further many children are born in the "wrong" places. The poorest of the poor are getting most of the children. They can't educate them, they can't provide for them. And the children might be easily susceptible to the war you propose. People like you can get 10 children and they won't contribute to "overpopulation" and your children will rather fight with words than with a knife and a battle rifle in their hands.
Wake up. If people like you, who profit the most from a progressive society don't care about its survival, the "freedom of women" might have been only a short episode. The lesbians in egypt experience what lesbians always experienced, getting raped by their husband every night. Why should these countries adopt our model of society, if they see it's falling apart?

You use words like sexual abuse and victimisation, and even racism, and that we live in a male dominated society that over sexualises us. Get real. I'm sick of people with narrow minded opinions like yourself that have a chip on their shoulder. If a woman told me she was lesbian I wouldnt react in any of the ways you suggested all men react in. That's a gross stereotype there. Women are free to make their own choices and are not respected any less. Of course there will always be a minority who disagree with this because of their narcisstic tendencies
  • MissJo Nezkeys79 2012/07/26 19:45:40
    MissJo
Yeah, if it's so much of a gross stereotype how come I've only met one man that hasn't reacted like that? Out of tens who have?

You're blind and hung up on your privilege.

Than why not say: "Hey! Girls who are sexually attracted to men..." instead of "Girls, would you sleep with a man..."

Watch your wording and maybe you'd get the responses you'd like.

You have a chip on your shoulder for no reason. I bet your one of those that think women in porn are exploited and sexually abused. Jog on

You're offended because i used the girl guy scenario right? However Gynecomastia is a condition found in males so why would i change the title to include lesbians? First of all improve your reading skills (don't skim through text and assume), and secondly remove that huge chip on your shoulder
  • Shawna 2012/07/24 20:56:15

This would be assuming I love him and already know about the moobs. Otherwise I would not be sleeping with him.
