By the way i see it, gay people try to get more than their entitled to. Just cause their gay they think they can use that as a leg up in society. If they don't get what they want they pull that prejiduce card and say "oh its cause i'm gay isn't it" like at their pride march shenanagens and get angry if their are people who think gay is wrong. i think they are greedy. if they can have gay perades i want a straight perade ASAP!

    I applaud people who use their voice. Why should any of us (gay, straight, or ambivalent ) have to "ask" for anything that is rightfully ours? The novelty of parades has a short shelf life, but notions of pride, equality, respect are worth celebrating tll the end of time.

    Go throw your straight pride parade. It's not only gay people who will think you are being ridiculous. I mean, so far they have asked to be able to get married like straight people and to be allowed to die for their country like straight people. They aren't very greedy... Plus, you can't generalize a group as a greedy.

    Gay people simply want to be treated as human beings. Let us get married and live our lives freely if you want us to shut up so bad.

    They just want the same respect as everyone else. They are treated as second class citizens and that is wrong.

    And you can have a parade, any that you want, if you get the proper permits.

    Although i agree with on some parts gays arent the only ones that had to go through crap. interracial marriage was a big no no in society and it still is today. We might not go around talking about it but Ive seen more people accept gays than different race marriage. Just saying

    That is true my friend, my point however was that straights don't really deserve a straight parade. Unless they love one of another race, they don't know what it's like to fear rejection because of who you love. You know what I mean?

    It depends on the people. Husband's two gay friends are the type who cannot stand militant gays and such. They're just folks, and live their lives. They see NO point in special rights for gays, and just want the same rights as everyone else.
    Listening to them speak about the type of gays that is the topic here, they're definitely of the school of; 'Fine, you're gay, shut-up about it'.
    Suffice to say they're NOT fans of Gay Pride parades and such.

    Well.................a pro basketball player gets fined and has to apologize to a fan because he called him a fag on his twitter account. That fan seem like he deserved it. If I wear him, I would not have apologized. I think they are going to far with some things.

    This is so much like the conservative battle cry during the 60s. As soon as the minorities wanted to be treated equally they would shout"they have it better than us", "they are moving too fast", or "they should EARN their civil rights".What a pack of fools.

    Oh here I go again saying yes Ive had a few gay friends. That being said I dont get why people see them as different. I mean they Are human. If you are a Christian you are supposed to love your neighbor as thy self. Yes sleeping with your own sex is a sin but its the SIN that God Hates NOT the SINNER. If your not a Christian why do you care who Johnny or Jane sleeps with?

    Much of "Demand" comes from Politicians. The only reason that "Demand" is such a strong word with Politicians is because of $,$$$.$$ . . . Which is relative to Power, Etc.

    You know, I've worked with them in the recording business, entertainment business and never found them as demanding of respect for their private lives.. Some were very, very funny. Some were serious. Some are normal. I don't defend them but I think I've never heard any of them be demanding of respect. Other than normal demands.
    No, I won't go to the parades. But, I don't attend many parades anyhow. Or, maybe the Rose Parade. And that really isn't gay.

    OH REALLY...being called a bigot really makes someone confortable in todays society!!!     I don't disrespect any person, unless they come at me in that regard and then I will resort to violence...I have come in contact with many homosexuals and treat them like normal people, but I DO NO TAGREE WITH THEIR LIFESTYLE, SO DOES THAT MAKE ME A BIGOT, I AM JUST CURIOUS!!??
