Now I have to say fries. But if somebody can give me the recipe for the onion rings served at the USOM Club on Yongsan Military Reservation, Seoul, Korea during the period 1959 thru the '70s, then I'll gladly change this answer. They were awesome! The "breading" is an egg mixture, but I don't know what was in it besides eggs. All I know is I never met anybody who didn't like them; and most folks loved them.
Just kidding, I'll eat them both!!!
