Its like adult baby food. Gross regardless of GMO's or not, just sick.

Depends what it is! I've used garlic & herbs that way & they stay fresh since they dont contact air & utensils!! Plus...things like Peanut butter, or sauces would be fine that way!

If you're on the go? If you want it to stay fresh easily?
I'm sure it tastes pretty good.

I'm pretty sure fresh doesn't exist anymore. My gardens never really took off and i can't believe food that travels in trucks for hours to sit for days, is still fresh. food hauling trucks

True, didn't think about that. When I wrote it, I just thought about it being easily sealed, so maybe not rot as easily. Fresh wasn't what I was looking for (: hehe.

The astronauts have had it for years. I would rather just have fresh organic food thank you. I have not yet had the joy of traveling in space.

You are always traveling in "a space" but maybe just not outer space, yet! =)

Yes I know, thanks for reminding me that I left the word "outer" out of outer space.

For camping and backpacking we fill squeeze tubes with food-stuffs, makes it easy to portion out and store. No big deal.

It has potential, depends on what types of food... I don't think seafood is the best choice. But ice cream? or Key lime pie? Those might taste pretty good.

Maybe there's more of it, but tube foods have been around a long time. Think anchovy paste.
