First Day of Work!

Robin 2012/09/19 19:32:51

You have looked high and low for a job, any job!
You finally get the call you have been
waiting for, YOU'RE HIRED!
They have to going out
to deliver medical equipment to
homebound people.
They even provide you with a van!
Address: 412 West Warren Street
Lot 666
You set off! You first delivery!
Arrive in the town, can't find the street..
GPS said turn east, but that is an alley...
then, you spot it.
Pleasant Hills Resort and Mobile Home Park.
(pictured below)
Not a single home is marked with a number.
That means, you have to knock on a few doors.
You really need this job. Probation is not cheap.
What do you do?

It's funny... when I lived here, by fault of my husband.. I wasn't even in the US at the time he did this.... people think that you are contagious. I lived there 4 years.. never once did I have a trick or treater, a Jehoavh's Witness, any solicitior whatsoever, etc... and everyone in the town knew exactly who lived here. lol... I am so glad I can laugh at myself.

When I was sentended to this place.. the landlord lived as far away as he could... he 'seperated himself' so to say, except when rent was due. Then he swept through that place like a pack of ferrel dogs.

When my mom died, I had to go to europe for her final business, etc... was there about 4 months... my husband was put in charge of finding a new place, as our lease was up.... I come home only to discover... my new address included a lot number. I actually lived in that trailer park that is pictured hahahaha... My porch fell off, literally... we dragged it and propped it up against the trailer... and you haven't known true fear until you ride out a tornado in one of those. hahaha..

Anytime you see an address with 'lot number ' you need to be afraid.. very afraid.

I did Home Health and Hospice Nursing a whle back, and ended up in some of the most unusual places, and it was before gps and cell phones lol.. you were on your own.
But... the worst part... I used to actually live here hahahaha.. in UK , settling mom's affairs.. told hubby to get new place for us to live, and he did.. here.

"I did Home Health and Hospice Nursing a whle back, and ended up in some of the most unusual places" So tempting to make some sort of crass comment about unusual places nurses find themselves.
SatNavs are great in most of the UK, Shropshire and those dark counties are a bit poor.
When you get to ROI, they are utterly useless may as well be using an ouija board.
