As the first born out of four kids, I must say, yes. All three of my siblings always try to do what I do. My first sister started failing grades and smoking because I started doing it. I knew by then that I had to change because they saw what I did and thought they could get away with it as well. I was such a bad role model.

Nope my brother & half brother are moron's. They are not leaders.They walked out on their Dad cause of petty issues. I took care of Dad for 15 years.

Interesting topic, there have been many psychological studies into birth order.
Some first borns become leaders, but some rebel against the extra responsibility of looking after the young uns.

Some are. SOme are just bossy. And some are irresponsible. Some of us youngest tend to be natural leaders just so we're not lost in the sauce.

I think that's a myth. I know in my own family (3 kids), the middle child, my brother, is the best leader of all of us. Of my own 3 kids, the youngest, my daughter is the best leader.
