My personal favorite is Glenmorangie.

Blantons was the first single Barrel high end bourbon when it was first rolled out back in the eighties, its well worth the extra money. Its also made at the same distillery and more readily available.
I grew up drinking Jack Daniels, Wild Turkey, George Dickle, Makers Mark, etc. but I've since moved to Bourbon Country and was introduced to "Barrel whiskey" which is uncut and unfiltered and has an extremely high alcohol content. Believe it or not its even smoother than lower alcohol bourbon, I had one that was 146 proof and went down very smooth. You would think that lowering the alcohol content by adding distilled water would make it smoother but its actually the opposite.

Is it a light caramel smooth whiskey or a harsher dark whiskey?
