A full blown out date with a good night Daddy I'll be home by 11? 17 years old. It had nothing to do with the readiness of my daughter it was the idiots that wanted to take her out that I did not trust. I am a Dad what can I say.
My son was 18 and driving his own car.

The standing rule in my house... No dating until at least 16. But I must also approve of whom they date.

My daughter never needed my permission.

The question didn't provide a choice for this answer. The Abrahamic religions assume that a father "owns" his daughter. I, however, do not believe that.

17, and I met the young man first and had a conversation with him. As long as she dates a gentleman who is a good influence I support her. She met a good guy who wanted to save it for marriage.

I would have preferred 35, but her mother overruled me. Made sure I was cleaning my M-1 carbine when that character showed up!

well, im not a father, but as a mom, i think whenever they feel they want to go on a date, and ask long as she understands the rules, i have no problem with her going to dinner or a movie, or even a party. though i would have to meet who she was going with.

Maybe 26. I raised 4 teenaged boys, trust me, you don't want your daughter dating teenaged boys.
