I have been once when I was in high school. A good friend was riding a bull. I never saw anyone get off a bull so fast! It was rather boring otherwise.
Yep the Missus was in rodeos,trick shooting with pistol, rifle and bow and arrows from horse back. She also did the flag riding, barrel racing and rode broncs
Love the rodeo especially the bull riding. Not alot of Rodeo events here in Southern California, but we do get the PBR several times a year as well as Extreme Bulls of the casino circuit.
Used to go at least once a year when I was growing up. We always spent 2 weeks every summer with our grandparents. Always tried to be sure we were in Texas in August so we could make the frontier days festivites (parades, BBQs etc) ending with the 3 day rodeo. My dad used to ride in rodeos when he was a "youngun" & my niece used to do barrel racing.
and Gasoline was 25.9 CENTS per gallon! It cost me all of $5.00 (I filled a 5 gallon can too.) =)
