Eddie murphy or Chris rock

Well Eddie Murphy is better in movies but Chris is funnier in stand up. Plus Eddie Murphy makes the Shrek movies actually funny.

Eddie Murphy, all the way!!!!

Both make me turn the TV off.

Although I have more in common with Eddie Murphy, Military brats, et cetera, I have to pick Chris Rock. His comedy sketch about Marion Barry had me blowin' snot bubbles.

I haven't seen him in anything recently.

Funny thing is I am totally caucasian and I can relate to his humor more then any other. He is just funny and clean....I don't have to wait for my kids to go to bed o watch/listen to his stuff like you would with Eddie Murphey ...I REALLY HATE Chris Rocks voice...and his humor.

I don't think you could pay me enough to sit through something by Tyler Perry.

I feel the same about Chris Rock and Eddie Murphy, cause they all have the same humor and style, but I feel Tyler Perry is 50 times worse.

I like him because he makes fun of real stuff in a clean way. There are so many that are faul mouth and or bathroom humor that is just not funny to me. Plus I can watch him around with mixed company..there are not to many you can do that with these days.

I hate him because he puts a bigger gap between stereotypes and his movies about about all the negatives that of the black stereotype and even that aside he has two types of movies the comedy and the drama, all the drama movies are the same and all the comedy movies are the same and his tv series are the same type as his comedy movies.

LOL I don't mind. Whats funny is I can relate to his stuff...because it reminds me of my family...and I am white. Madea reminds me of a woman I adopt as an aunt(she was half black..but on the light scale so she was mistreated by blacks, whites, and everywhere in between)
His stuff is more about where you come from then what color you are...at least that is what I got from it. I can see where he wants to use black actors because as PC as hollywood is there are not a lot of top jobs out there they can showcase their skills. AND he uses a LOT of more normal looking women (and a few men) woman that look like (and act like) someone you would know.

Madea reminds me of a crazier version of my mom and I hate my mom ironically my mom loves Madea movies. Normal looking women? I think not every other women except Madea is drop dead gorgeous nice boobs nice ass long legs and your basic snow white type unless she is being betrayed as evil then the woman will obviously act like an evil step mother or whatever still beautiful but not as beautiful like a half a step below the snow white type.

His charctors are real...I KNOW women that were raised poor as dirt in druggy areas that married for money and suffered in a different way then when they were young.
One was near and dear to me but died young from domestic abuse....she didn't not want to leave because she had everyone thinking she had the perfect life...the clothes, the cars, the parties, the vactions and to leave would mean admiting she made a mistake. Women get cheated on all the time....women fall to drugs/booze and do horrid things all the time some of the more determined get out, find love/happieness.
When I go to the movies I want uplifting movies...funny movieswith a good ending....and for me that's happily ever after:)

Eddie's work can seem to hyper, though I haven't seen to much of his stand up. I like Chris' making fun of life approach.
