  I love gauged ears but not lips or noses or anything else. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. My ears are at 5/8ths currently and yes stretching does get addicting after you start. I plan on stopping at an inch(yeah right). Im afraid of my ear lobe ripping because I think my ears got pierced to far down. But ftw go big or go home.

  i have them and love them. i'm at a 0 and they will still shrink up if i need them too. once you start though, its addicting and i want to keep sizing up, even though i know i shouldn't. there's a point where it goes from expressing yourself to obnoxious.

  I love them, but I think if you go too big they look horrible. I have some myself and they aren't too big yet they aren't too small, either. I'm at a two, I MIGHT go up to a 0 so I can get my hello kitty plugs. I havent been able to find them in 2s, and it sucks, but I'm not going any igger then a 0 if I do. People always say they stink, they do. I'm not gonna lie. But if you take proper care of them and let them air out for a little bit a day then they won't smell like crap. People allso say that they won't grow back after you pass a 4, so ive been told. Me personally this is my third time gauging them. And each time my ears grew back, they did it within a week. it all depends on how quickly your ears grow and stuff.

  I had always wanted to stretch my ears, and now that I recently started stretching them it's become almost addicting to move up another gauge size. I love 'em. It's such a great way to express yourself!

  I grew up in an area where gauges were not prevalent. The people I hung around, by the time I graduated high school wore diamond studs etc. etc, however I live in the city now and all I see are hipsters with gauges riding, fixed gear bikes and heavily tattooed. I think all of these things are great ways of self expression and art. So I can't agree with people who believe these attribute to be negatives. UNLESS anyone (who disagrees) has experienced negative vibes (which I don't thin you can) form this cohort of people, I don't believe it is right for anyone to judge based off of their ignorance. This action of ignorance is almost as bad a racism, in my opinion. In that, those who don't approve fear what they don't know. In fact if you were to meet these sort of people they are usually, articulate, intelligent, artsy, and welcoming. I will leave it to the readers to decide whether I have gauges are not.

  Reading the other comments, i've noticed that people assume that after a certain size either small or big, they will or won't go back to the original size. That truly all depends on how elastic your skin is, and how quickly it heals.

  First of all, to those of you that don't already know this (although if you're stretching your ears you should know), gauges are what you have in your car, not in your ears. The proper term for "ear gauges" is stretched lobes. And the jewlery you put in them aren't called "gauges" either, they're called plugs, tapers, tunnels, pinchers, spirals, etc. ANYWAY, I think they're lovely if you take care of them properly. Just make sure you take your time stretching, and keep them looking healthy. GO BIG OR GO HOME. I'm currently at 1 inch and have been stretching for over a year. My goal size is somewhere around 2 inches. (:

  What is a "gauge" though? its a measurement of something(ex. temperature gauge, battery gauge, fuel gauge) gauge is measurement, so technically, everyone that has a size of a plug, taper, tunnel, pincher, or spiral etc is wearing a gauge. No hard feelings, just clarifying a little :)

  I LOVE them and i have them. Right now im a 00g in my left ear and 6g in my right ear but im trying to catch up. I'm only 15 but I'm not stretching my ears because its "cool" im doing it because it's how i want to express myself and when its not "cool" anymore i will definitely still have them in :3 (My target size is 1 inch :D)

  I'm sorry what did you just say? It's his/her choice of self expression. Who are you to say that they aren't allowed to express themselves? That's the most arrogant and ignorant thing that I have ever heard. The fact that you are taking time out of your life to tell him/her that what they are doing is "Gay" is just ignorance and fear of what you don't understand. Either way It's their choice, their life. You don't have to see them or talk to them but you have to have a mutual respect for them just like any normal person has for every one else.

  I love gauges.(: I just love the look of them.. But, the size kind of makes a difference. Like, any bigger than double zeros (00g) is kind of.... disturbing.(: Haha But I really love gauges. I'm working on mine right noww. I'll probably have either a 3 or 2.

  I love them. I'm at a 2 and going to a 00. And for all the people who are worried about the smell, just clean them properly? If you take good care of your ears there should be no problem with odor.

  I love them, but not on everybody. i think it takes a certain kind of person to pull them off. i'm actually getting ready to stretch my ears for the first time, and i'm very excited! i know mine will be small compared to a lot of peoples, but i know i wouldn't look right on me.

  I have them and I LOVE them! I have 6 in each ear, 6, 6, 6, 4, 2, and 5/8. They don't smell bad if you take proper care of them. They're fun to play with. I dot mind them huge either.
