Snubbed dwarfs are raging at the makers of Hollywood film "Snow White
and the Huntsman" for casting average-sized people as the film's seven
dwarfs.

The dwarf actors are threatening to protest against the film -- which
stars Oscar-winner Charlize Theron -- with a "100-midget march,"
according to a report in TMZ.

Los Angeles dwarf theater group Beacher's Madhouse is fuming --
arguing that filmmakers would never use white actors and then digitally
turn them black.

It's hard enough for them to get acting jobs as it is. So using normal sized actors for roles that are obviously perfect for "little people" is a big blow to them.

They used Ian McShane who is 5'9", Toby Jones who is 5'5", Eddie Marsan who is 5'8", Nick Frost who is 5'7", Ray Winstone who is 5'10", Bob Hoskins who is 5'6", and Brian Gleeson who is 5'11". The shortest actor they used was Toby Jones.

Are you certain this is a fact? Kind of sounds like an urban myth. If true, it's interesting. I wonder why Hollywood woud choose to do that, given there are a number of talented dwarf actors who could have filled at least some of the roles?

The actors cast as the dwarfs in Snow White and the Huntsman were between the heights of 5'5" and 5'11"
