Well I'm usually driving to school, work or just to take a nice pretty lady out onto a date.

To be honest, the miles on city surface streets is about equal to Interstate Highway miles. We have a good road system and three Interstate Highways in this city.

Highways are such a mess a lot of the time, I avoid them unless traveling long distances. I also take back roads to avoid congestion, accidents, etc. on surface streets!

i live less than 3 miles from work and its all city driving now.even wheni lived 10 miles from work i still took surface streets. highways were out of the way for me.

I try to avoid the highways and let the hopped up truckers cut each other off, bur even our highways around hear are on the surface.

I take pain meds due to permanent problems with my back and knees, so I choose not to drive. But, where we live it is mostly surface streets, we are a good 60 miles from any interstate.

I think 95% of all driving is done on regular streets. That includes commuters, delivery vehicles, emergency vehicles, etc.

US Highway 17 goes right through the middle of the city here.. So, I am on it and on side streets too. I have Michelin tires on my car. The weather is good here... so, I am safe. And I do drive defensively !! We have people here from all over the east and also Canada, who come to vacation and play golf.

this really depends. for my job it is a lot of highways and more so if I am over the road, but for my personal driving it is city street and dirt roads

not a good habit, have seen so many women not make it home or to work doing this. 1 lit herself on fire with hair spray as she smoked a cigarette. put your make up on at home, just get up 1/2 hr earlier.

Not undecided. My normal driving is almost perfectly a mix of city/hwy, in terms of time. In miles driven, it's more highway, of course.

i try to stick to surface streets when i can - for trips under about 20 miles ...
