Drunk Man Recites Odd Christmas Story While Actors Act It Out: Marvelous or Meh?

What makes classic Christmas stories even better? When 1) they're being recited by a man who has drunk half a bottle of whiskey beforehand and 2) hilarious actors such as Ryan Gosling and Jim Carrey act out the ridiculousness of the man's words for all of America to see.

"Drunk History" is a classic series produced by Funny or Die ever since 2007, where history buffs recite popular historical occurrences -- except they're completely drunk while doing it. But this year's special Christmas edition "Drunk History" episode is one of our favorite ones yet. That may partly be because Ryan Gosling makes a cameo in it and we're straight-up in love with the man or perhaps because Jim Carrey makes a wicked Santa Claus.

But whether you like the series or not, this video is definitely worth a watch. So get ready to hear a classic Christmas story be completely butchered by a man who has had one too many swigs of a stiff drink -- and try not to spit your own drink out while watching it.

    Using obscenity in a Christmas-themed presentation is always an idea of questionable merit, and this production presents little basis to question that idea. I like all of the artists associated with this production and the write-up in the intro gave me hope that I'd see something that would give me perhaps as much as a guffaw. No way. Nothing in the entire piece provoked as much as a chuckle, and, after a while, the f-bombs began to make me wince. What a waste.

    How horrible!!! Why can they leave Christmas alone? I don't see a lot of 'them' passing up on holiday pay or the extra day off!

    There was a part where Santa says " I'm sorry I f"ed it all up". I laughed a little but this could have been a lot more humorous then it was. I think the guy has a tolerance for booze. Hope he got a ride home though.
