These novelty food items just keep on comin'! If you thought pickle-flavored candy canes or Pepsi-flavored potato chips were the latest food fad, think again. Now, there's wine ice cream!
Packed with calcium and a five percent alcohol intake, Mercer's Wine Ice Cream comes in six different flavors -- Cherry Merlot, Chocolate Cabernet, Peach White Zinfandel, Port, Red Raspberry Chardonnay and Riesling -- and it costs $7.99 for a pint. That's not too shabby, if you ask us. But we're also big fans of wine and ice cream, so it's pretty much a win-win in our book. Do you think wine ice cream sounds delicious... or disgusting?

You may think that the gift giving season's over, but NO. You're wrong. It's time now to give yourself a gift for all the hard work you did this holiday. And what better way to unwind than with a pint of wine ice cream?

(Edited for correction.)
I just asked her and she said that she would not like it.
I'd check it out just for curiousity's sake.
I say disgusting, not because of flavor but some lines and levels should be maintained-wine is sophisticated and refined, ice cream is fun and delicious.
I cringe at the idea of a certain population of consumer thinking (secretly hoping) they will get a little tipsy off of this creation- which according to maturity they probably shouldnt be drinking in the first place.
(contains no wine)
But, it is Haagen Dazs... they tend to do things "right". ;-)
Because frankly most wine tastes like rotten fruit to me.
