They are just as free to marry one member of the opposite sex as anyone else.

In law, marriage is the relationship between one man and one woman.. period.. that is our law.. and gays and lesbians are free to have a civil union relationship which gives them spousal rights..

it is a legal contract .. i.e. subject to our laws.. and subject to the laws of the church if it is a Church ceremony.. i.e. laws of God.

all religion has is its ceremony they are not considered married until they have a marriage license. The laws of any god have no place in government.
