Does the army, military, navy, and so on cover up their indiscretions?

I haven't noticed that this is the case on any organized level. Certainly a few years ago I remember hearing about a general that got fired after he got caught cheating on his wife... (which is illegal in the Army.) Other than that I have seen some people who got caught drunk driving as MP's who rather than it ending their military career, people went out of their way to help them reclass to another job which didn't require the clearance that being an MP did.

So I think it happens, but I don't think it's an organized thing.

There are several military personel walking around who we knew are gulity but never paid for the crimes. If they do get found out a slap on the wrist is usually enough. We know the Ollie North broke the law but nothing happened and today he is a TV commentator.

The Military takes care of their 'problems' internally ..
it is why we have the UCMJ .. (and internal procedures for taking care of problems that happen on base/post).

Let's just say .. there's a big difference between HOLLYWOOD and Television events (they are 'fantasy' .. imagination) .. and the REALITY of the Service ..

Any large government or quasi-government organization will cover up anything they don't want the public to know. It's business as usual for them.

I'm retired Army.. Army wives is a TV show... I watch it too... JK Are you serious, what happens on base stays on base until a jealous person sells it to the National Inquirer.

I'm well aware it's a television show but they use real info in it. It's on tv hence a television show.
