well, not all accurate,, regardless of intentions, forget about wants/ needs..
it all comes down to a very simple and easy process.. follow the suggestions, the direction, and get clean and sober.. do not follow the program, then well , all bets off, regardless of intentions...
"IF" a person sincerely wants it to. Working in a rehab center I saw both people who went back to their addiction and those who were successful in quitting their addiction.
They have to want to do it for themselves first. Most of the ones that did quit for others did not have as great a chance as those who did it for themselves.
But no, that is not what I am referring to. People who are forced into rehab rarely ever see long term success. The want needs to be there. And this is for a good many things in life, whether it's weight loss, or paying off debt, or quitting addiction. You need to be the change you want to see.
the answer to your question, it works 100 % of the time, only problem, the mechanic some times does not do his / her job ...
AA has a 100 % success rate of all those that follow, strictly follow the suggestions and recomendations.. 100 % , sorta strange any one would NOT follow their direction ....
It does for many; though it isn't a walk in the park or quick fix. For some people it takes them 20 years before they finally kick the habit; like Robert Downy Jr. for example.
the actual rehab is just a means to achieve a goal..
the rehab neither work nor fails to work,
it is the person that works the rehab or refuses the rehab suggestions / recomendations.
it is the person that succeds or fails the rehab, the rehab does not fail the person.
so easy to attempt to find a scape goat to blame for a failure , ( see obomma to see a master at work at ducking the responsibility and shift blame onto others ) in rehab, you either work it or lose out .
yes, you should be sorry, sorry for attempting to post opinions as a fact, and opinions that are wrong..
one thing you do have almost correct.. " 95% of people fail " it is the person that fails , not AA , .. and that is a very important fact .. the person fails,, I still disagree with your revised %
AA has not failed once ,, not one time ,, it has 100% success rate of the people that follow the program.. 100 % ... it is the individual that fails..
question to you,, your first post you quote ( an incorrect quote to boot ) a % sucess rate, I challanged you on your post , you then changed ( also an incorrect quote ) your % success rate..
how about open your eyes, open your ears, and shut up , you may learn how to become clean and sober..
hmm,, interesting post, and again I disagree with your " opinion " not of what you know, but what you do not know, and that would be of what I know of AA..
and if you are with / against AA , that is of no value to me, what you think of AA is not relivant , the fact are the facts, and I disagree with your opinions .
and I hope I have the serenty to accept your opinions , no matter how wrong they are.. and I do know the difference... .

sad , not all will work the program 100 % of the time,
They have to want to do it for themselves first. Most of the ones that did quit for others did not have as great a chance as those who did it for themselves.
hope they heard, if nothing else,, keep coming back, it works..
but, IMO , well worth the work...
some thing about a 11 step program ?? I forget exactly , but some thing like that....
a change of people , places and things.. a life change....
only thing is to MAKE the change..
follow the program, and get sober ,, 100% of the time.. each and every time..
sounds like you refer to the 11 step program , or some thing like that... :)

getting the mind clean ?? that is a life long process, and the cleansing never stops, each and every day is a new day to tackle ...
hence, one day at a time.... keep coming back,
REHAB for drug / alcohol detox ???

rehab only took me so far,
I'm still working at it, some day, just not today....
