I've had too many men state "I don't think I can afford you" to which I reply"Don't worry about it I can afford me".Would I pay someone else's bills no.It certainly wouldn't matter in deciding whether or not to date someone.If I'm more fluid I have no problem paying and certainly feel it's only right if I'm the one who asked.Yet I have experienced men who are extremely uncomfortable with it.It was never a concern in my marriages feeling what's mine is yours and vice versa-even though I that hasn't worked out too well for me either time.

You don't have to be rich, but it helps !
Seriously, though money is somewhat important.
If you can't make ends meet the stress level can
sometimes ruin what might have been.
But just because you have money it doesn't mean "happily ever after".
You still have to care about the happiness of your partner..

It does though. Even if you love someone, not having enough money to feed your children causes you to lose the joy.

I agree. I feel the same. It wouldn't matter to me either, but I do have a need to have a roof, and food, and the ability to care for the ones that are most important to me. Otherwise we would be a very unhappy and stressed couple.
